There is just enough weight to the phone to make it feel solid. (2) When you push the buttons to dial, it makes a sharp noise in your ear, which is a little annoying. Love the yellow.
If I could change anything it would be these 2 things: (1) The cradle holds the receiver up a little bit. I hold it away from me when I dial. It takes some getting used to because at first you feel like the phone isn't sitting correctly.
The phone is adorable. Design is just a little different from the original, but still very cute. These are small things, and I am overall very happy with the phone.
The sound is very good--I don't have to strain to hear with it. Comfortable to use.
The ringing bell however seems out of synch with all the electroinic tones in the house. It will also function as a land line in a power outage when all the wireless sets will not. It is simple and straight-forward which is what was wanted. Every home should have one. This retro phone was purchased as a gift for my Princess (wife) at her request and really rang her bell. I must admit, it brings back memories for me as well.
Bright and upbeat. This expels the placement of the device from the bedroom.By the way - great yellow. This is a fun phone. It is a design throw-back with the same true "ring" of it's day.The only fault I can find is that the volume setting does not go as soft as I would prefer.
